What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal.

Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY. 

Lily is a great dog and loves to cuddle and have her belly rubbed. She likes being close to her human and loves to go on walks although like most hounds she is ruled by her nose so wants to stop often to smell where others have gone. She also has the Bassett bark and bray. She gets along very well with my dogs, even Emma who doesn't usually like other female dogs. She is not an excitable dog and is calm most of the time. She will pace in circles when in small spaces which may be from being tied outside previously. She is great around my 5 year old grandson and doesn't jump on him and stays calm. I don't know about cats. She is house broken, rides well in the car but likes to look out. She will make someone a wonderful companion.

At the time of adoption a donation of $250 (dogs over 6 months) and $350 (dogs 6 months and under) is requested before the animal is placed in a new home.
