Meet Vernon!  He's a young fella that is about a year old and 55 pounds. Vernon gets along great most other dogs, generally he does best with other dogs similar in size or smaller than him. Vernon is energetic, house and crate trained. A perfect activity partner for an active family with older children or a perfect solo companion. Vernon thrives in structure and with guidance he is sure to prove a great best friend, he is already a volunteer favorite.  

Foster Family Update:  “He’s the kind of dog everyone hopes they get.   He’s a happy boy at about a year, crate and potty trained. He loves and adores his people. He gets along with dogs his size and smaller.  Vernon loves snuggles on the couch, walks, play time and is quick to learn.  He has been doing amazing.  Today our LCAR Alum cat, Panda, ventured downstairs to visit and Vernon smelled him and walked away.  I don’t know if it’s because panda is a savy foster cat or if Vernon is getting a lot of exercise and stimulation but there was no chasing by Vernon at all or real interest.  Vernon is such a great dog!"
