Oconee Humane Society is constantly slammed with cats. Upper respiratory infections spread like wildfire, space is limited and cats are running out of time. Unfortunately with such an overpopulation problem, the shelter has to euthanize in situations like this and the sickest and long term residents often find themselves on the euthanasia lists first. We couldn't let these babies die so our sanctuary, St. Francis Animal Sanctuary, opened up its (already packed) doors and welcomed in cats that needed some TLC. 

KATNISS' bright yellow eyes hint at a cat who is very active with an outgoing personality. Even though she is 3 years old and no longer a kitten, this quite is quite the catch who will add a lot to any household. She is all black with just a couple of white spots on her chest and belly. Katniss is quite affectionate and has been waiting over 4 months to meet her forever family. She loves to lounge, take it all in and soak up all the love that is given to her. She easily has one of the best dispositions and is completely ready to take on whatever comes her way. 

This baby is spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations, is FIV and FeLV/Feline Leukemia Negative, microchipped, and ready to find a soft spot to land and enjoy a family!
