Meet Barney, a spirited 4-year-old semi-feral dog who has found his unique place at St. Francis Farm. Barney's story is one of gradual transformation, resilience, and the power of companionship. When Barney first entered the sanctuary, his feral nature was evident. His interactions with humans had been limited, and his cautious demeanor reflected a life lived on the fringes. Despite his initial wariness, Barney's journey at St. Francis Farm has been one of heartening progress. Over time, Barney's fear of humans has waned, revealing a dog who is slowly letting his guard down. While he may not seek out attention or affection in the traditional sense, his newfound comfort around people is a testament to the safe and caring environment provided by the sanctuary. Barney's true passion lies in his friendship with his fellow canines. His bond with best friends Fred and Max is a sight to behold, as they engage in joyful play and explore the world together. This camaraderie speaks to Barney's innate desire for connection and his ability to form deep, meaningful relationships. At St. Francis Farm, we've come to understand and appreciate Barney's individuality. While he may not fit the mold of a conventional companion, his presence enriches our lives in countless ways. At the time of adoption a donation is required before the animal is placed in an adoptive home.

$600 - All dogs

$300 - For dogs deemed seniors by LCAR (generally 8rs and older)

$200- For senior citizens (over 65 yrs of age) adopting senior dogs

$150 - For Kittens

$125 - For Cats
