He came to us in late 2021 from a shelter. Max entered the shelter with a few other dogs who were pretty skittish but not nearly as scared as he was. A few found homes and some were even taken on by our parent rescue LCAR where they found homes. All that was left was Max and due to his temperament, we were his only option. Now that Max has been here a little while, he has started to settle in to the routine. He still doesn't like to be handled but is learning to take treats from staff. He has also made a few doggy friends and enjoys hanging out in the yards with them. So far Max has only been around our small to medium sized dogs, but he has enjoyed them all the same. We will keep working on Max so that he can learn to trust us even more.
